Black Women’s Empowerment
The Era of Achievement

Earlier this month, the Equity Alliance hosted a 2-day event focused on celebrating and uplifting Black women. Over the course of the weekend, more than 500 attendees from all walks of life, including community leaders, corporate allies, and elected officials were able to connect, gain new skills and knowledge, and leave inspired to take on the world.

DJ Crop Top Tot mixed the sounds of the event, supplemented by performances from The Shindellas and Cojo Ko Music. Dr. Wendy Osefo of Bravo’s Real Housewives of the Potomac served as the host for the weekend and dropped gems of information to everyone in attendance.

The weekend ended with an incredible live fundraiser for the Equity Alliance whose work is beyond measure. Be sure to follow the organization to be on the lookout for next year’s event. Hopefully, I’ll see you there!
