I have photographed a few proposals, but probably none as special and memorable as Brandon’s to Kelsey. Aside from the fact that his plan went terribly wrong and at one point, I worried that it wasn’t going to turn out well for him… Brandon ended up on one knee in the rain, which made for incredibly romantic images. If you didn’t see the it, I insist you check it out [Brandon’s Proposal.]
At their wedding, it became clear that rain is sort of Kesley and Brandon’s thing… because the rain poured the entire day. But here’s the funny thing, the weather cleared up for about 2 hours — just in time and long enough for the couple to get married on the hillside of her grandparent’s horse farm and take pictures after the ceremony. If that isn’t a blessing, I don’t know what is.
Kelsey chose her grandparent’s horse farm for her wedding, to pay tribute to her childhood there, riding horses. There ceremony was intimate and guests where able to look out over this beautiful view of Lexington, during the ceremony.
Kesley’s father build the gazebo for the wedding day.
One of my favorite moments of the ceremony was Kesley’s grandmother’s as her flower girls. I absolutely love this shot Nikesha captured of the two coming down the aisle!
Kelsey and Brandon surprised their wedding guests with a dance medley, during the reception!
