The obligatory year-end review. Eight days into the new year and I am finally checking this task off of my to-do list. Facing the chore of pulling images from weddings and portrait sessions from the ending year always feels a bit daunting. But in the end, the time is so worthwhile. Looking back leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy. These pictures represent the special moments — the proposals, engagements, wedding vows, the expectation and arrival of little ones, giggles with ever-growing children… These are the moments that matter. The moments that I love. The moments that leave me feeling blessed to have such a rewarding career. My client’s have trusted me to document their loves and for that I am incredibly thankful.
In 2014, I had the opportunity to teach and mentor, speak at the Pursuit 31 conference and inaugural Coterie Retreat, and see my work featured online and in print. Personally, the year filled with challenges, loss, triumphs, and wonderful transitions. As much as these images document my client’s lives, they mark growth and change in my own.
I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store!
