Alicia + Jamie
200 Peachtree Wedding

Alicia and Jamie live in a house divided — she is a die-hard Atlanta Falcons fan, while Jamie roots only for America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. Three years ago, Alicia and two of her good friends decided to attend the Falcons vs. Cowboys game in Dallas, and a mutual friend, Jamie, was invited to attend. Jamie and Lisa first met in the Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport and have been inseparable since.

The two exchanged their vows during a beautiful evening ceremony at 200 Peachtree in Atlanta in September, planned by the ever-fabulous Weddings by Day, who you may remember from Brittany and Timi‘s gorgeous Montgomery wedding. Emma of Emily Dean Photography joined me for the day, as my second shooter.

Different/non-traditional shots of her bridesmaids was high on Alicia’s priority list for the day. She calls this one the “Real Housewives” shot.

Mannequins in the window!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you already know that the first look is my favorite part of a wedding day. Alicia and Jamie did their first look at the Sun Dial Restaurant, seventy-three stories above the city… epic, right?

In addition to looking into her husband’s eyes and reciting her vows, Alicia describes seeing the faces of her family and friends, as she walked down the aisle, as the best moment of the day. “I knew our guest count was large, but when the curtains were drawn… seeing everyone standing for me was truly overwhelming.

Weddings by Day and Ambiance Decor never disappoint… During the cocktail hour, they transformed the ballroom into Alicia’s dream reception. If you’re in the market for a planner and design team, you really can’t go wrong with this duo… and they travel!
