Ethan’s 1st Birthday | One Mom’s Pinterest Success Story

Let’s chat about Pinterest, which is probably the single most influential website launched since facebook.  Armed with neatly organized boards, we are all empowered to plan parties, weddings (regardless of whether we are even engaged,) create an array of desserts with three ingredients or less, and decorate our homes with crazy-awesome DIY projects, right?. Unfortunately (and yes, I am totally speaking from experience — I caught my toaster on fire once, trying to make grilled cheese,) not every Pinterest project turns out like you expect. In fact, there are whole websites dedicated to failed Pinterest attempts.

Well, Ethan’s mom, Rachel, won’t be contributing to one of those failure boards any time soon!  She contacted me a few weeks ago about photographing her son’s first birthday party and invited me to her private Pinterest inspiration board. Full of images of balloons-themed parties, I was excited to see how her vision was carried out. And guess what, she nailed it!!

The party was held at her parent’s beautiful, lake-front residence. Family and friends were in attendance to shower Ethan, who just happens to be the cutest red head, with love. As you’ll see, he totally had a blast!

Oh.my.wow! This is soooo cute! This feat just confirmed that I won’t EVER have to hire a planner for parties :). Now to find a venue as AWESOME as this house.. .

What an adorable 1 year old. Mother nailed it….especially hiring you. Now, if I could only rent the waterfront property for a week.
