You all already know how much I enjoy my time with the folks at the Alys Stephens Center. I photograph shows there frequently, but had the opportunity to do something a little different in September… I attended a show as a guest.

The evening was full of excitement, suspense, grace, artistry  and pure talent.  William Close was the show’s headliner. If you’re guilty of watching America’s Got Talent (like me,) then you’re already familiar with Mr. Close and all of his amazing, larger-than-life, instruments.  Throughout the season, the AGT judges made the point that watching these instruments on TV simply did not do them justice.  I totally get their point. The instruments and the music they create is amazing, but the way the sound fills a room and echoes off the wall, bringing the audience together to experience the music, rather than just hear it, is  powerful.
