Nia lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and first contacted me through my website.  After a few initial emails, she and I planned to talk on the phone.  I usually get to meet my prospective wedding clients in person or via Skype and was honestly a little nervous about whether we would be able to connect.  In hindsight, I can say that it was probably one of my most successful “first meetings.”  We totally hit it off and ended up talking for over an hour.

I adore her, really.

She told me all about her and Thomas, we talked about some of our mutual friends, and she walked me through the plans for her lovely Fall wedding.  Turns out that, although Nia and Thomas were both born, raised, and attended college in Alabama, they did not meet until she was living in North Carolina and he in South Carolina.  A mutual friend, who obviously saw how great they could be together, made the initial introduction.

I finally got the opportunity to meet them in person last month, for coffee, and absolutely adore her even more as a part of this couple.  She is a self-proclaimed girly-girl, while he is totally laid back.  Their personalities are different, but mesh perfectly.
