Beaonica and Brandon’s lives ran parallel to one another — they grew up in neighboring communities, they attended the same Summer camp, they went to the same high school and even rode the same bus… and yet, somehow, they never met. It wasn’t until Brandon moved to Arizona, to begin his career as a software engineer, and Beaonica started her career as a neonatal nurse in Birmingham — that their paths crossed.

In 2011, Brandon was back home, visiting friends and family during the fourth of July holiday; he and Beaonica met at a party. They exchanged phone numbers and decided to  meet for brunch the next day. They ended up going on a date every day he was in town.They quickly realized how much they had in common and wondered how it was possible that they didn’t meet sooner.

A year later, Brandon moved back to Alabama to be closer to Beaonica and in the Fall of last year, he asked her to be his wife. Today, they laugh about the path their love has taken, but together, they know that the timing was perfect.

The two will marry next year on the same weekend they finally met.
