Danielle and Ademola first noticed one another in the Fall of 2009, from afar, while attending mass at St. James Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. Although they both felt an attraction, a few weeks passed before they officially met… before Ademola worked up the nerve to say hello. They became instant friends.
The following Spring, Danielle decided to move back home to Mobile, Alabama. The promised to keep in touch and ended up talking every day, during those first months apart. In August, Ademola visited Danielle in Mobile and under the glow of a Krispy Kreme Hot Now Light, he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Their long-distance friendship-turned relationship grew into a deeper love than either had ever experienced. While living in different parts of the country presented it’s challenges, it provided them plenty of opportunity to talk, pray and grow together. She says, “I knew he was the one when I realized that the man he was, far exceeded the type of husband that I’d been praying for. God had given more than I could ever have imagined!”
Danielle and Ademola married last month in Mobile. And I’m just going to say — hands down — Saint Joseph’s Chapel at Springhill College is prettiest church I have ever been in. Shooting more weddings there has crept onto my bucket list, because it’s just that darn pretty. So airy and with such amazing light…. I love it.
The reception followed at the Alabama Cruise Terminal. Being a true Mobile girl, and wanting her guests to experience everything she loved about the city and it’s Mardi Gras traditions, Danielle planned for the reception to end early in the day. The concluded with a Second Line to get guests in the spirit, leaving time to allow them to attend the afternoon parades…
…while we ventured back to Springhill College for some lovely sunset portraits of the bride and groom!
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Danielle and Ademola’s Traditional Nigerian Engagement Ceremony, which took place the night before the wedding.

Her dress is GORGEOUS! And the aerial shot of the bride and father as she goes up the aisle made me freeze in my scroll. Yes! Yes! Yes!

That dress though….I want it, just to have it and where it for the next 10 Easter Sundays!!! #bestdressever #jealous #wanttosayyestothedressalloveragain #didimentionIwantthatdress
