Sarah and Matt met in the Fall of 2010 at the University of Alabama. He was instantly smitten, but could not land a date because Sarah didn’t want to be distracted from her studies.  A few months later, they ran into one another at an event, and finally had the chance to hang out. They totally hit it off and have been inseparable since.

Eventually, Matt moved to Birmingham and Sarah followed. As they continued to fall deeper in love, another love was creeping into their hearts… love for the city of Birmingham.  Their engagement session celebrated those loves.

We started in the Lakeview District at FIVE, the restaurant where they celebrated Matt’s proposal with their families.  We did a quick tour of downtown and eventually ended up at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.  Next year, Sarah and Matt will marry in the city they now call home, and look forward to sharing Birmingham with their out-of-town guests.
