I live in a downtown loft and I looo-oove tacos. So, when Shakeyta first emailed me and asked about shooting a portion of her engagement session at my favorite neighborhood Mexican eatery, El Barrio, I was ecstatic.  If you live in the Birmingham area and have never been to El Barrio, you’re really cheating yourself out of a wonderful culinary experience.

Shakeyta and Ray were college sweethearts, whose paths went different directions after graduation.  Fortunately, their paths crossed again and they realized that the love and friendship they felt in college was still there. They have been together ever since.  This Summer, their closest family and friends will join them for a grand celebration to send them off to the Greek Island of Mykonos, where they will exchange their vows privately and spend a week exploring Greece.
