Here is the thing about weddings… they never go the way they are planned. Schedules are disrupted, people make mistakes, and sometimes everything can go wrong does. The most important thing for the bride and groom to remember, is that the day is about their union and the start of their life together as husband and wife. Carmen and Auri had one of those days — a beautiful wedding riddled with moments that could have easily distracted them from what mattered. Fortunately, their faith and love prevailed over the day and it was just that — beautiful.
It’s no secret, I am a big fan of the First Look. Carving out time before the ceremony to see one another for the first time, not only allow the bride and groom a special and intimate moment together, that they normally would not get to share, but it also safeguards their opportunity for portraits. Without having planned for a First Look, Carmen and Auri may not have had a chance to take any pictures together, given how the day unfolded. They are so sweet together… you can tell how excited Auri was to see Carmen, who looked absolutely amazing.
Thank you Emily Dean Photography for second shooting with me and for capturing this lovely image of Carmen, moments before she walked down the aisle. Also, a big thank you to Kelly Longberg for being a fantastic assistant during the day.
