If you follow me on facebook, you know that I am pretty much obsessed with the show Scandal. A few months ago, I realized that many of my friends were just as obsessed with some show called “Downton Abbey.” Week after week, as the show was leading up to the somewhat dramatic Season 3 Finale, I kept seeing posts and finally decided that, perhaps, it was a show worth checking out. So, I dove into an “entertainment while I edit – Hulu + Netflix (and eventually PBS.org) marathon” of the show. It took me a few episodes to get into the show and pick up on it’s subtle humor, but it eventually grew on me. My friend and fellow photographer, Crystal, on the other hand, LOVES all things Downton Abbey. She is already planning her 10 a.m. watch parties, when the show returns to BBC in 2014!
I have been blessed with the opportunity to lead a small group of local, Christian, female photographers as a part of Pursuit 31. I will be blogging later this week with a few behind the scenes images from this shoot along with little more about what Pursuit 31 is and how much these ladies have impacted my life.. but for now, just know that it is an awesome group! Crystal is a part of the group and helps me tremendously with planning our monthly meet-ups. Once we decided to do a styled shoot for our April meet-up, it only made sense to use set it up in the style of Downton Abbey, since we have a DA-aficionado in the group. To see more images from the shoot, please be sure to visit Crystal Wilkerson Photography‘s Blog and CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE CIRCLE! Each amazing participant in the shoot has blogged a few of their favorite images this morning and linked to the next blog in our little circle (I told you they were an awesome group!) Enjoy!!
Of course, a shoot like this would not be possible without the support of a fantastic team. A cannot thank those who made this shoot possible enough! Thank you all!

[…] The small groups were created to be a place for the members to build real-life relationships with like-minded women. I have been blessed immensely with the opportunity to lead the Alabama group, made up of more than 40 women in the greater Birmingham area. We meet at least once a month, with meetings focusing on everything from fellowship to posing. Last month, we had an epic Downton Abbey-inspired styled shoot. […]
