Michelle + Kasey
A B&A Warehouse Wedding

Michelle and Kasey met in 2012 while working at Glory Bound Gyro Co., in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  According to Michelle, Kasey used to flirt with her a lot but she didn’t take him seriously. She was sure that he was kidding.. that he was just a “flirty” guy. Eventually, she realized that he was genuinely interested in her and so, they started dating.

Two years later, they were engaged and planning their perfect wedding day. Michelle and Kasey knew they wanted something beautiful but simple, a wedding that would reflect their laid-back personalities, where their guests could celebrate the occasion and have a good time. They instantly fell in love with the vibe and aesthetic of the B&A Warehouse and especially loved that they could have their ceremony and reception in one location.

Michelle and Kasey chose to have their first look at the altar before their guests arrived. She describes seeing him there, as one of her favorite memories from the day. And, as her photographer, watching her literally run down the aisle into his arms, with the biggest smile on her face, was a truly heartwarming moment. They decided to read private vows to one another, which brought out both laughs and tears and I imagine, represented what every day is like with these two.BAWarehousewedding_0015 BAWarehousewedding_0016 BAWarehousewedding_0017 BAWarehousewedding_0018 BAWarehousewedding_0019 BAWarehousewedding_0020 BAWarehousewedding_0021 BAWarehousewedding_0028BAWarehousewedding_0024 BAWarehousewedding_0023 BAWarehousewedding_0022 BAWarehousewedding_0025 BAWarehousewedding_0026BAWarehousewedding_0029 BAWarehousewedding_0031

My photography friends joke that I always get perfect overcast skies on my wedding day. I don’t know how much truth there is to their claims, but on Michelle and Kasey’s day, the weather was definitely perfect. This mid-day bridal party image is one of my favorites and an example of what can happen when you are gifted with an amazing cloudy sky.

Michelle and Kasey had their guests to sign a bench, in lieu of a guestbook. The bench is something they can cherish for years and build family memories around. It’s such a unique and sweet idea…

Michelle and Kasey chose to get married on her parent’s 34th wedding anniversary, to honor their marriage and the example they’ve helped set for them. Her parents had a wedding of their own, but at their wedding and at the last minute, their band said they didn’t know the song they wanted for their first dance.  To this day, they can’t remember what song they actually danced to. But every couple should have “their song,” so as a surprise to them, Michelle and Kasey gave them a chance to have a dance of their own to their chosen song.  It was an incredibly sweet moment.BAWarehousewedding_0040BAWarehousewedding_0041 BAWarehousewedding_0042
